Project Description

The New Horizons Baptist Church Donor Wall is a thoughtful and artful tribute to the donors who made the church’s renovation possible. Developed through deep community engagement, this project reflects the values, history, and aspirations of the congregation, ensuring it is more than just a recognition piece—it is a meaningful symbol of gratitude.

Inspired by the church’s historic stained glass windows, the design moves beyond a traditional plaque to create a visually striking installation that harmonizes with the clean, renewed space while celebrating the vibrancy of the community. Using a layered technique, CNC-cut plywood sheets are combined with stained glass and acrylic, echoing the intricate beauty of the original windows while introducing a fresh, contemporary feel.

This approach bridges past and present, honoring both the church’s deep-rooted legacy and its bright future. By reimagining traditional materials in a modern, artistic way, the installation pays homage to heritage of the church while illuminating the generosity of those who contributed to its renewal.

More than just a list of names, this donor wall stands as a work of art, a historical reflection, and a lasting symbol of appreciation, ensuring that every contribution is recognized in a way that is both meaningful and enduring.
